AFR's MAGNUM line of cylinder heads for the big block Chevy are available in Rectangular Ports with 305cc, 325cc,  345cc, 357cc, 377cc and 385cc runners. All heads are made with A356 aluminum and are equipped with high quality components throughout. Component upgrades and different machining options are available to customize your AFR heads for your specific build. hile the combustion chambers are offered with partial or full CNC machining with a bowl blend. Capable of flowing 390 CFM at 0.700" of lift. These AFR heads are assembled (with parts).

  • With some domed aftermarket pistons, it may be necessary to slightly clearance or modify the piston due to our more efficient heart shaped combustion chamber design. Most of the newer designed dome profiles will clear. AFR strongly recommends material be removed from the piston and not the cylinder head. Our combustion chamber shapes are very critical to flow and altering the cylinder head can adversely affect flow and power production. It is the customers responsibility to verify proper piston to head clearance.
  • Heads are designed for 3/8" pushrods. Larger pushrods will not fit without clearancing and is not recommended since some areas are very thin. AFR recommends the use of .120" thick-wall pushrods.
  • For ideal geometry and wipe pattern AFR strongly recommends stud mount rockers part for applications below 7400 RPM and .790 lift. For applications above these limits shaft mount rockers are typically advised.

Leave it to Dart Machinery to bring a real high performance marine aluminum cylinder head to market. These hard coat anodized marine heads feature a mil-Spec integral surface treatment option which dramatically enhances the corrosion resistance. 

These PRO 1’s race-proven cylinder heads include rolled valve angles, improved spark plug location, extra-long severe duty intake valves, raised exhaust ports, fast-burn chambers, an extra lifter valley head bolt feature, 1.550" valve springs, and lastly Inconel exhaust valves and must have in any marine cylinder head. The PRO 1 series of big block cylinder heads can be used with off-the-shelf pistons, valve train components, and performance intake manifolds. 

Standard PRO 1 big-block heads are available with a choice of three standard intake port sizes - 310cc, 325cc, and 345cc as well as two new CNC ported race versions.
